Leaving Creative Commons

From our Communications Lead, Elizabeth Heritage:

After three years at CCANZ, it’s time for me to move on. Friday 17 November will be my last day.

This job has been a real pleasure and I’ve learned a lot. Training as a publisher turned me into the kind of nerd who reads imprint pages in books; working here has made me into the kind of nerd who reads page footers and ‘terms of use’ on websites. Good times.

I have accepted a comms job at the Human Rights Measurement Initiative at Motu, which, like this job, will be 15 hours a week. As well as that, I will be continuing with all my freelance mar-comms, teaching, and writing work. Rest assured I will continue to fly the Creative Commons and Open flags everywhere I go. If you listen to RNZ on Tues 14 Nov just after the 2 o’clock news, you will hear me using my ‘book critic’ slot on Jesse Mulligan’s show to talk about Open Access.

I’ve really enjoyed being a part of this community and I hope you’ll stay in touch. You can reach me at www.elizabethheritage.nz / books@elizabethheritage.co.nz / @e_heritage.Hopefully see lots of you at our birthday party on the 8th!
