Roadmap 2016

The following roadmap is intended to provide a general overview of CCANZ’s priorities for the 2016 calendar year. Information on specific activities and projects will be publicised on our community discussion list, newsletter, blog and Loomio group.

Schools

Government Data

  • Approaching relevant organisations for open data release, where needed

  • Produce resources on open data for local and central government

Research Data

  • Develop resources on open research data

Arts and Culture

  • Targeted outreach to artists and artists groups
  • Targeted outreach to training institutions
  • Submissions / consultation with government & relevant sector organisations

Copyright

  • Commentary and advice on Fair Dealing/Use, where necessary
  • Improved and expanded CC licence guidance
  • Submissions / consultation with government & relevant sector organisations
  • Research and/or guidance on relevant issues, where necessary

Other

  • Resources to support open policy and practice by NGOs
  • Resources on CC licensing for journalists
  • Outreach to journalism training courses

Organisation

  • Manage CCANZ Advisory Panel
  • Report to the OERF
  • Maintain existing funding sources
  • Expand pool of funders
  • Collaborate with CCHQ, Asia-Pacific and other CC affiliates
  • Expand volunteer network

Communications

  • Maintain and grow CCANZ newsletter, social media channels and community email list
  • Report regularly to CCANZ Loomio page
  • Write and solicit blogs and case studies on copyright and CC for CCANZ’s websites
