NZ Aotearoa has recently signed up to the international open data charter, which calls for government data to be open by default.

DigitalNZ site relaunch

Our friends at DigitalNZ have been working hard and the new-look site is up now. You can search the digital collections of all sorts of Kiwi collecting institutions – including Te Papa, our national art gallery – and filter results by licence condition.

Art Up Your Tab

Europeana (the European version of DigitalNZ) has released a browser plug-in that, every time you open a new tab, will display a public domain or openly licensed artwork. Great fun!
