Survey of how people define ‘noncommercial’ use

Creative Commons has published a new study in collaboration with Netpop Research (and with support from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation) called Defining “Noncommercial:” A Survey of How the Online Population Defines “Noncommercial” Use.

The study was conducted via empirical online surveys, open access polls, interviews and focus group discussions to investigate understandings of ‘noncommercial use’ and the Creative Commons NC licence term.
